Xinyan Group launches Buboo 1, a proactive home companion robot powered by self-developed Xinyuan model

Buboo 1, unveiled at WAIC 2026, is Xinyan Group's proactive home companion robot. Its standout feature is wake-word-free interaction: the robot initiates communication via visual and spatial cues, dynamically adjusting engagement frequency using on-device memory models. At 65cm tall, it matches a 3-year-old's eye level, with a fully rounded plush exterior. The technology stack is the self-developed Xinyuan large model, comprising three tiers: the bottom Xinyuan LLM (integrating Multi-Agents, RAG, and long-term memory), the middle Xinyuan multimodal model (visual reasoning, speech recognition and synthesis), and the top Xinyuan xyVLA embodied model (connecting seeing, understanding, and acting). Buboo targets three family scenarios: relaxed language companionship (early childhood language development), long-term emotional comfort (working parents, elderly living alone), and lightweight AI imaging (wave-triggered photos, locally processed into comic style for push notifications). Leveraging its Cece App's 60 million users, over 1 million daily active users, and billions in annual revenue, Xinyan extends online emotional companionship to physical terminals, upgrading user experience from being understood to being accompanied, especially for families with declining app usage.
