Anthropic Launches Claude Science Beta: Multi-Agent Workbench for Reproducible Pipelines
Decision Brief
On June 30, 2026, Anthropic announced Claude Science Beta. It runs on top of existing Claude models with a multi-agent architecture: a coordinator agent assigns tasks to domain expert agents, and a reviewer agent flags and corrects citation and numeric errors. Each generated chart comes with its exact code, environment, and full chat history, ensuring complete reproducibility. Claude Science manages local machines, SSH-connected HPC clusters, and Modal cloud compute resources, connecting to 60+ databases and NVIDIA BioNeMo skills. This allows researchers to design, execute, and validate complex scientific pipelines from a single interface without manual tool switching.
