ComposioHQ releases awesome-claude-skills, a curated list with over 1,000 Claude Skills

The list organizes over 1,000 Claude Skills and plugins into categories such as document processing, development and code tools, data analysis, business marketing, communication and writing, creative media, productivity and organization, collaboration and project management, security systems, and app automation. Each Skill is a folder containing SKILL.md with YAML metadata and Markdown instructions, using progressive loading—only each Skill's name and description (~100 tokens) load at session start, with full content loaded once relevance is determined, so a single agent can mount hundreds of Skills without blowing up its context window. The format was introduced by Anthropic in October 2025 and opened as a standard in December, now supported by Claude Code, Claude.ai, the Claude API, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Antigravity and Windsurf. For developers using Claude Code or Cursor, the list's connect-apps plugin offers a concrete integration path: install via claude --plugin-dir ./connect-apps-plugin, run /connect-apps:setup and paste a Composio API key, letting Claude perform real actions across 1,000+ apps—sending emails, creating issues, posting to Slack. Teams running local open-source models that want to reuse these Skills should note that although the format is open, actual compatibility depends on each agent platform's support for the SKILL.md progressive loading mechanism.
