China Unicom and Huawei Launch World's Largest 5G-A 100Mbps Uplink Commercial Network

On July 15, 2026, China Unicom Beijing and Huawei announced the completion of the world's largest 5G-A 100Mbps uplink commercial network, covering key areas across Beijing with over 10,000 base stations. Field tests showed that along a 34km test route, the 100MHz uplink activation ratio was 83%, peak uplink speed reached 1Gbps, average speed 397Mbps, and speeds above 300Mbps accounted for 72%. The network uses 3.5GHz and 2.1GHz coordinated networking (SUL solution). For users of AI phones, AI glasses, smart robots, or industrial vision devices, this large-uplink network enables more stable and faster data transmission to the cloud for analysis and processing, significantly enhancing real-time interactions. Emerging scenarios like low-altitude economy will also benefit from more reliable transmission.
