Adobe Indigo Camera App Adds Generative AI Editing Suite

Adobe's experimental camera app Project Indigo received a 1.1 update adding a generative AI tool suite called 'AI Playground'. It includes Styles (AI filter presets), Object Editing (remove objects), Photo Guidance (photo analysis suggestions), and Custom Edit (custom prompt editing). Notably, this suite currently uses Google's Nano Banana AI model rather than Adobe's own Firefly. Adobe calls this an experiment, free for a small group of Indigo users, with a potential paid version later. Currently lacking Adobe's usual AI transparency markers, the team is working on adding C2PA Content Credentials, while Google's Nano Banana uses SynthID watermarking. For iPhone photographers using Indigo, this enables in-app generative AI editing, but whether results are 'fair' or 'misleading' depends on usage and sharing.
