Skill Seekers tool release: Converts documentation sites, GitHub repos and PDFs into Claude Skills
Decision Brief
Skill Seekers supports 18 source types, including documentation sites, GitHub repos, local codebases, PDF, Word, EPUB, Jupyter, OpenAPI, PowerPoint, AsciiDoc, HTML, RSS, man pages, plus YouTube/Vimeo videos, Confluence, Notion and Slack/Discord exports via dedicated flags. The core command is skill-seekers create plus a source, then package --target exports to 22 targets, covering 12 LLM platforms like Claude, Gemini and OpenAI, 8 RAG and vector store formats including LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Chroma, FAISS, Weaviate, Qdrant and Pinecone, plus atlas and ibm-bob. The project offers 19 CLI commands, 40 MCP tools, and can auto-install skills into 19 AI coding agents. For developers using Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or Cline, install-agent places generated skills into .claude/skills or .cursor/skills. Teams running local open-source models can use --agent to enhance via local agents like Kimi, Codex or OpenCode, avoiding API costs. The --index option generates a SQLite FTS5 search index, letting agents locate file#anchor before reading large Markdown files.
