Bluesky's Attie AI tool now generates shareable mini social apps
Decision Brief
When Attie launched earlier this year, it was positioned as an AI tool to help users build their own feeds. Now it has expanded to generating "mini" social apps, including games, polls, and dashboards, which can be shared like standalone websites. The workflow is still prompt-based: a simple poll about Pokémon Red/Blue, for example, takes just a few minutes to generate. Attie's site currently shows several examples, such as a Flappy Bird clone called "Flappy Butterfly," a drum machine, a quiz, and an idle clicker about a celery man—each with its own link under the attie.site domain and the creator credited at the bottom of the page. For ordinary users who want to make lightweight interactive content in the Bluesky community, this means they can turn ideas into shareable web apps without learning frontend development. In an interview at TechCrunch Disrupt, Bluesky CEO Toni Schneider described Attie as "social vibe coding, or vibe coding for your community." These apps are currently quite lightweight and gadget-like, better suited to quick community interactions like polls and mini-games.
