Scientific Agent Skills library renamed, now compatible with any AI Agent

Formerly Claude Scientific Skills, the library is now Scientific Agent Skills. Skill content is unchanged, but compatibility extends to all hosts supporting the open Agent Skills standard, including Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and Google Antigravity, loading as portable Agent Plugins packages (plugin.json + skills/). Skills cover biology, chemistry, medicine, physics, engineering, earth science, data analysis, and science communication, each with SKILL.md, workflows, version metadata, executable helper scripts, and test suites. Version 2.72.0 splits the docx, pdf, pptx, and xlsx document skills out of the integration, reducing the total from 181 to 177; teams relying on these must install them separately from Anthropic's official repo. Version 2.71.0 updates database retrieval, package compatibility baselines (e.g. PathML 3.0.8, GeoPandas 1.2.0), and RNA-seq workflow boundaries. K-Dense BYOK was also released: a free, open-source local desktop AI research assistant where users bring their own API keys, choose from 40+ models, store data locally, and scale to cloud via Modal for heavy workloads. For teams running local open-source models or third-party agent hosts, this library offers a cross-vendor, reusable, validated research workflow set.
